About the Role
This part-time adult education teaching position reports to the Director of Adult Education. You'll make a meaningful difference by helping adult learners progress toward their educational and career objectives.
What You'll Do
- Teach one or more of the offered subject areas: ESL, ABE, GED, NEDP, or U.S. Citizenship
- Create and deliver effective lesson plans aligned with adult learner goals and skill levels
- Evaluate student performance and provide meaningful feedback to support progress
- Foster an engaging, welcoming classroom environment for diverse learners
- Work collaboratively with the adult education team to enhance program quality
- Track and report student attendance and outcomes as required
What We're Looking For
- Valid teaching certification (required)
- Demonstrated expertise in ESL, Adult Basic Education, GED, NEDP, or U.S. Citizenship instruction
- Proven experience teaching adult learners
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Passion for supporting adult student success
- Flexibility to work part-time hours on a schedule convenient for our program
