Home Health Aide (HHA)

About the Role

As a Home Health Aide with Valley Home Care, you'll provide essential personal care and support to clients throughout Belleville and Mifflin County. This is hands-on work that centers on building trust, respecting your clients' preferences, and attending to their physical and emotional needs. You'll work closely with our care coordination team to ensure each person receives the individualized attention they deserve.

What You'll Do

• Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene
• Help with mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent injury and promote comfort
• Prepare nutritious meals and provide assistance with eating when needed
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe living environment
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to your supervisor
• Provide companionship and emotional support as clients navigate health challenges
• Communicate openly with supervisors and the care team about client progress and concerns
• Follow safety protocols and maintain strict confidentiality

What We're Looking For

• Genuine compassion and patience when working with clients of varying ages and abilities
• Current HHA certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background check and maintain confidentiality
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Physical capability to lift, transfer, and assist clients safely
• Dependability and a strong sense of responsibility
• Prior experience in patient care is valued but not required—your attitude and work ethic matter most
