Clinical Research Coordinator I

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time Clinical Research Coordinator I to join our research team in Columbus, Franklin County. In this role, you'll play a vital part in advancing pediatric clinical research by coordinating study operations from initiation through completion.

About the Role

As a Clinical Research Coordinator I, you will oversee key operational and administrative components of clinical research studies. Working under the supervision of senior research staff and principal investigators, you'll ensure that every study meets its protocol requirements and institutional standards. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to regulatory compliance will directly impact the success of critical pediatric research initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate study startup activities, including site setup, regulatory documentation, and team onboarding
• Execute day-to-day study management responsibilities such as scheduling, patient communication, and data collection oversight
• Maintain adherence to ICH/GCP (International Council for Harmonisation/Good Clinical Practice) guidelines and institutional standard operating procedures
• Prepare and manage study launch activities and milestone milestones
• Oversee study closure activities, including final documentation and regulatory closeout
• Maintain detailed records and ensure timely, accurate reporting of study information
• Communicate regularly with investigators, team members, and study participants as needed

What We're Looking For

• Strong organizational and time management abilities, with capacity to manage multiple studies simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a clinical research environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and compliance
• Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning new research management systems
• A background in healthcare, research, life sciences, or a related field is preferred
