Vantedge Medical is seeking a full-time temporary Weld Operator I to join our on-site team in Mather, Sacramento County. This swing-shift opportunity invites experienced welders to contribute to the manufacturing of precision medical components.
About the Role
As a Weld Operator I, you'll play a vital role in producing high-precision welded assemblies for medical device applications. Our company focuses on custom metalworking fabrication solutions across the entire manufacturing lifecycle, serving the healthcare industry with components that require exacting quality standards. This is a temporary, full-time position compensated at $22.00 to $24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
What You'll Do
- Operate welding equipment according to established procedures and quality standards
- Follow engineering blueprints and work instructions to complete assigned welding tasks
- Inspect completed welds and components for quality, durability, and adherence to specifications
- Prepare materials and components for welding operations
- Maintain welding equipment in safe working condition and perform routine maintenance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules
What We're Looking For
- Welding certification or proven hands-on welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and work orders
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Experience operating welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, or stick welders
- Physical ability to perform welding tasks, including standing for extended periods
- Dedication to workplace safety and willingness to follow safety procedures
- Reliable attendance and a professional attitude
