Youth Advocate Programs is hiring an Administrative Manager for our Baltimore, Baltimore County office. This full-time position offers an opportunity to become the operational heart of our mission-driven nonprofit, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while we deliver community-based advocacy, mentoring, and wraparound services to youth and families connected to the child welfare and juvenile justice systems.
About the Role
As Administrative Manager at Youth Advocate Programs, you'll manage the essential organizational and administrative functions that enable our Baltimore-area programs to thrive. You'll oversee office operations, coordinate administrative staff, handle scheduling and resource allocation, and provide leadership support—directly supporting the clinical and direct-service teams as they serve youth and families across our region.
What You'll Do
- Oversee daily office operations and administrative staff supervision for our Baltimore location
- Manage schedules, facilities, office resources, equipment, and supply inventory
- Maintain organizational databases, records management systems, and internal documentation
- Support human resources functions including employee onboarding, scheduling, and personnel records
- Coordinate program activities, client scheduling, and team meetings
- Assist with compliance documentation, grant reporting, and organizational recordkeeping
- Serve as the primary administrative contact for operational inquiries and troubleshooting
- Provide administrative support to program directors and organizational leadership
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED (associate's or bachelor's degree preferred)
- 3+ years of administrative experience in nonprofit or social services settings
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and database systems
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with close attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with human resources, scheduling software, and office management practices
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity
- Genuine commitment to supporting the youth and families in our communities
