Leidos is hiring a Bilingual Mortgage Servicing Customer Service Representative to join the FHA Resource Center team in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico. In this full-time role, you'll provide essential bilingual support to homeowners and mortgage professionals navigating HUD programs.
About the Role
As part of Leidos' partnership with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office of Single-Family Housing, you'll help advance HUD's mission to build strong, sustainable, and inclusive communities while expanding access to quality, affordable housing. Your customer-facing work will directly impact families navigating the FHA mortgage system.
What You'll Do
- Answer customer inquiries about mortgage servicing, loan programs, and HUD policies in English and Spanish
- Locate and verify borrower account information within HUD systems and databases
- Document customer requests, issues, and resolutions with accuracy and attention to detail
- Guide borrowers through processes such as loan modifications or payment options
- Handle complex or sensitive customer concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to resolve escalations and maintain service excellence
What We're Looking For
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
- Prior customer service experience, particularly in financial services, mortgage lending, or government programs
- Excellent communication and active listening abilities
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations while remaining patient and courteous
- Strong organizational skills and accuracy in managing records and documentation
- Proficiency with computer systems, databases, and standard office software
- Knowledge of or openness to learning federal mortgage programs and HUD procedures
