Director of Development

Point University in West Point, Troup County is seeking an accomplished Director of Development to lead our institutional advancement and fundraising initiatives. As a full-time member of our leadership team, you'll drive resource development that empowers our mission to graduate Christian-minded professionals prepared to live out their faith across every profession and calling.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies that support the university's mission and institutional growth
• Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners
• Identify and pursue major gift opportunities aligned with institutional priorities
• Lead grant writing and proposal development for foundation and government funding
• Build and manage the development team, establishing goals and standards for measurable success
• Collaborate with academic and operational leadership to align advancement efforts with institutional needs
• Create compelling case statements and communications that inspire donor investment in our mission

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record leading development and fundraising programs in higher education or nonprofit settings
• Demonstrated expertise in major gift solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to build and execute long-term advancement plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging diverse audiences
• Experience with institutional advancement and donor relationship management systems
• Bachelor's degree required; prior leadership experience in development strongly preferred
• Alignment with Point University's Christian mission and commitment to developing faith-centered leaders
