Zipline invites applications for an Emerging Talent Recruiter (Contractor) role offered fully remote across the USA, with a preferred presence near South San Francisco, California, USA. This Full Time contractor assignment powers university and early-career hiring for technical teams during peak fall season, under a four-to-six-month engagement beginning in August that may extend based on results and openings.
Role Overview
As Emerging Talent Recruiter (Contractor) at Zipline you serve as primary owner for a defined set of internship and new-graduate roles across hardware, manufacturing, field operations, and software. You will drive candidate pipelines, campus programming, full-cycle interview processes, and offer logistics so that launch and production sites receive the builders needed to keep autonomous logistics operations ready. The assignment demands hands-on ownership of events, stakeholder coordination, and continuous pipeline reporting in a fast-moving recruitment window.
Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end accountability for ten to twenty concurrent early-career requisitions: drafting postings, screening, coordinating interviews, extending offers, and handling acceptance workflows with a four-to-six-week time-to-offer goal and strong acceptance rates within bands.
- Design and run six to twelve university programs and competitions (virtual sessions, fairs, hackathons, technical talks) during high season, tracking lead volume, interview conversion, and hire yield for each series.
- Build and sustain a pipeline exceeding three hundred early-career prospects through campus relationships, proactive sourcing, referrals, and technical communities, delivering weekly funnel updates.
- Partner with hiring managers in Hardware, Manufacturing, Field Operations, and Software to lock role criteria, shape interview loops, facilitate calibrated debriefs, and escalate trade-offs when needed.
- Handle event logistics including travel, materials shipping, booth staffing, and on-site assessments while observing applicable export-control, safety, and data-handling rules.
- Maintain Greenhouse ATS hygiene, produce weekly dashboards on time-to-fill, conversion, and event ROI, and create a post-season playbook with university priority recommendations.
Who We're Looking For
- At least three years of full-cycle campus or early-career recruiting for technical roles in hardware, manufacturing, software, or field operations, or two years plus clear ownership of campus events that produced measurable technical hires.
- Documented experience running ten-plus concurrent requisitions and four-plus campus events in a single peak season, plus comfort closing offers inside compensation guidelines.
- Ability to share concrete past metrics (time-to-offer, acceptance rates, lead-to-hire conversion) achieved under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel domestically up to forty percent during peak months, including occasional evenings or weekends, and to work at least two days per week from the South San Francisco headquarters when not on the road.
- Daily Greenhouse experience required, plus fluency building reports and dashboards in Google Sheets, Looker, or similar tools.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States; Zipline cannot sponsor visas for this contractor role.
- Owner mindset, decisive facilitation under hiring pressure, and careful attention to operational safety and regulatory boundaries when recruiting for field and hardware positions.
