Queen Of The Valley Medical Center in Yountville, Napa County is recruiting a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This travel nursing position offers the chance to deliver critical care while expanding your clinical expertise across a respected healthcare facility in Napa County's Wine Country.

About the Role

As a PACU RN at Queen Of The Valley Medical Center, you'll provide essential post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia. This full-time role combines patient advocacy, clinical precision, and compassionate care in a fast-paced surgical recovery environment. You'll work alongside experienced anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure safe, effective patient transitions from surgery to recovery.

What You'll Do

• Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, and pain levels for patients emerging from anesthesia
• Administer medications and manage post-operative pain protocols as directed by surgeons and anesthesiologists
• Assess and manage post-anesthesia complications, including nausea, airway concerns, and hemodynamic changes
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and clinical responses in accordance with hospital standards
• Communicate clearly with surgical, anesthesia, and nursing teams to coordinate seamless patient care
• Prepare patients for transfer to inpatient units, discharge, or observation as their condition permits
• Maintain a safe, clean recovery environment and adhere to infection control protocols

What We're Looking For

• Current RN licensure in California
• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience required
• Experience in PACU, intensive care, acute care, or related high-acuity settings strongly preferred
• Strong assessment skills and the ability to recognize and respond to rapid clinical changes
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a dynamic surgical environment
• Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based nursing practice
• Flexibility and adaptability in a travel nursing role
