About the Role

As a Magazine Photographer with Best Version Media, you'll be the creative eye behind our publications. You'll work closely with our editorial and design teams to produce the photography that forms the visual backbone of our magazine content. This is a hands-on position for someone who understands how to tell stories through images and can deliver consistent, publication-ready work under tight schedules.

What You'll Do

• Shoot assignments across diverse topics—portraits, events, lifestyle, business, and community features—collaborating with writers and editors to capture the intended narrative
• Manage all technical aspects: lighting setup, composition, digital capture, and file management to meet editorial deadlines and publication standards
• Edit and retouch images using industry-standard software to ensure polished, print-ready deliverables
• Travel within the College Station area and Pulaski County to cover assigned subjects and events
• Maintain equipment and manage your photography archive and workflow
• Communicate creative ideas with editorial staff and adapt your approach to match publication vision and audience needs

What We're Looking For

• Proven photography experience, either through an established photography business, professional portfolio, or solid freelance track record
• Proficiency with professional cameras, lighting equipment, and digital post-processing software
• Strong visual storytelling instincts and an eye for composition and detail
• Ability to work independently while meeting editorial deadlines and quality standards
• Flexibility to cover varied assignment types and adapt your style to different subjects and tones
• Reliable transportation for location shoots within the area
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
