About the Role
You'll serve as a full-time locums radiologist, working Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, interpreting oncologic PET/CT studies in a clinical setting. This assignment focuses on delivering accurate, timely diagnostic reporting while contributing to direct patient care and supporting the broader clinical team in Sacramento.
What You'll Do
- Interpret approximately 14 oncologic PET/CT cases daily with precision and clinical judgment
- Produce clear, comprehensive diagnostic reports for referring physicians
- Communicate findings and clinical recommendations to the multidisciplinary care team
- Maintain thorough, compliant imaging documentation and medical records
- Ensure adherence to radiology quality standards and imaging best practices
- Provide expert radiologic consultation to support evidence-based clinical decision-making
What We're Looking For
- Current, unrestricted California medical license with active or locums radiology privileges
- Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology
- Demonstrated expertise in PET/CT interpretation and oncologic imaging
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with clinical staff and physicians
- Commitment to patient safety, quality imaging standards, and professional excellence
- Reliable work ethic and ability to manage clinical volume efficiently
