Senior Director, Chief of Staff

Lumen is seeking a strategic and accomplished Senior Director, Chief of Staff to join our leadership team in Annapolis, Anne Arundel County. In this pivotal role, you'll partner directly with executive leadership to drive organizational strategy, coordinate cross-functional initiatives, and shape the future of trusted network infrastructure for the AI-powered world.

About the Role

As Chief of Staff, you'll be the architect of executive operations—translating strategic vision into executable plans while managing the critical initiatives that move Lumen forward. You'll report to senior leadership and serve as a trusted advisor, problem-solver, and catalyst for change across the organization. This is a full-time position offering the unique opportunity to influence how we connect people, data, and applications through our fiber network and connected ecosystem.

What You'll Do

• Drive strategic initiatives that align with Lumen's vision of enabling secure, high-performance connectivity for enterprises, governments, and communities
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution of organizational priorities and infrastructure expansion goals
• Analyze complex business challenges and develop actionable recommendations for executive decision-making
• Manage stakeholder relationships with internal teams, customers, and partners across cloud, edge, and AI workload environments
• Oversee operational planning, performance tracking, and enterprise-level project management
• Communicate strategy clearly across all organizational levels and represent leadership in key forums

What We're Looking For

• 15+ years of experience in executive operations, strategy, or senior advisory roles
• Proven track record of driving results in technology, telecommunications, or infrastructure-heavy industries
• Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
• Outstanding communication skills and ability to build consensus across stakeholder groups
• Demonstrated experience managing complex organizational initiatives and cross-functional teams
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
