Position Summary

As a Department Supervisor, you'll oversee daily operations within your assigned department while mentoring and developing associates to reach their full potential. You'll be the go-to leader for your team, responsible for maintaining product knowledge, ensuring merchandise is well-organized and accessible, and guaranteeing every customer finds what they need with ease. Your insights into operational efficiency and merchandising strategy will directly influence how your store manages inventory, staffing, and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Lead, train, and coach a team of associates, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Ensure the department meets sales targets, inventory standards, and customer service expectations
• Monitor product knowledge across your team and identify coaching opportunities
• Collaborate with Store Management and Operations teams on merchandising plans and operational decisions
• Assist customers in locating products and resolve service issues promptly
• Maintain department cleanliness, safety standards, and proper product displays
• Schedule associates, manage labor budgets, and optimize staffing efficiency

Requirements

• Proven supervisory or leadership experience in retail, home improvement, or similar environments
• Strong knowledge of products, operations, and retail best practices
• Ability to motivate and develop associates at all performance levels
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as business needs require
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
