Role Overview

As Sr. Coordinator, Patient Access at Cardinal Health's Sonexus Access and Patient Support division, you'll coordinate patient access to specialty medications, working within our hub services to connect patients with life-changing therapies. This full-time position is central to our mission of enabling patients to access, afford, and remain on the treatment they need for improved quality of life.

What You'll Do

• Manage patient access coordination by handling insurance verifications, prior authorizations, and eligibility determinations
• Educate patients and healthcare providers about treatment programs, support resources, and payment assistance options
• Communicate across pharma, payer, and provider networks to resolve access barriers and facilitate treatment initiation
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation to ensure continuity of care and program compliance
• Identify and resolve obstacles to patient access by leveraging hub services expertise and support programs
• Track patient progress and provide ongoing support throughout their treatment journey

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in patient services, healthcare coordination, or pharmaceutical access support
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to engage patients, providers, and payers professionally
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail in managing multiple patient cases
• Proficiency with electronic systems and ability to quickly master new software platforms
• Commitment to patient-centered care and reducing barriers within the healthcare system
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare services team environment
