About the Role

You'll lead trading decisions across agricultural commodity markets, leveraging quantitative models, artificial intelligence, and data science to identify market opportunities and manage risk. This role sits at the intersection of traditional commodity expertise and cutting-edge technology, requiring both deep market knowledge and the ability to build and interpret sophisticated trading systems.

What You'll Do

• Execute and monitor commodity trades in agricultural markets, with emphasis on applying predictive models and AI-driven insights to trading decisions
• Develop, test, and refine quantitative trading strategies using historical data, machine learning algorithms, and statistical analysis
• Analyze commodity price movements, supply-demand dynamics, and macroeconomic factors affecting agricultural markets
• Build and maintain risk management frameworks, including hedging strategies and portfolio optimization
• Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate new AI capabilities into trading workflows
• Monitor market conditions in real time and adjust positions based on quantitative signals and risk parameters
• Document trading strategies and performance metrics for compliance and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

• Strong foundation in quantitative analysis, statistics, or mathematics—with proven ability to translate data into trading decisions
• Experience with commodity markets, agribusiness fundamentals, or agricultural trading (or demonstrated ability to learn quickly)
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or C++, and comfort working with large data sets
• Understanding of machine learning concepts and experience applying them to real-world trading or analytical problems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
• Strong communication skills—ability to explain complex quantitative concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, computer science, mathematics, engineering, or related field
