Independent Vacancy Status Representative

FAR Inspections is hiring an Independent Vacancy Status Representative to serve Shoshone, Lincoln County and nearby Idaho communities.

About the Role

As an Independent Vacancy Status Representative, you will work on a full‑time basis conducting residential mortgage inspections for properties located throughout Lincoln County and the surrounding area. The position is structured as an independent contractor engagement, giving you flexibility while maintaining a steady workload.

What You'll Do

• Travel to assigned addresses to verify occupancy status and document property condition.
• Complete standardized inspection forms with accurate observations, timestamps, and photographs.
• Submit completed reports through FAR Inspections’ secure portal within the required turnaround time.
• Communicate any safety concerns or access issues to the operations team promptly.
• Maintain organized records of mileage, visits, and submitted documentation for invoicing.
• Follow all client‑specified guidelines and FAR Inspections quality standards.
• Adjust your schedule to accommodate inspections in both urban and rural parts of Lincoln County.

What We're Looking For

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license to reach properties across the county.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to detailed instructions and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail for noting occupancy, utilities, and exterior condition.
• Basic computer skills to fill out digital forms and upload images.
• Good communication skills for reporting issues and coordinating with the dispatch team.
• Previous experience in property inspections, mortgage field services, or related field work is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to undergo a brief background check as part of the onboarding process.
