Premier Transportation is seeking Dedicated Local CDL A Drivers - PAY INCREASE to join its team in Homecroft, Marion County.

About the Role

This full‑time position offers a dedicated local route with increased compensation, enabling drivers to remain close to home while handling regional freight shipments safely and on schedule.

What You'll Do

• Operate a tractor‑trailer on assigned local routes, ensuring timely pickup and delivery of goods.
• Perform thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
• Secure cargo according to DOT regulations and company standards to prevent shifting or damage.
• Maintain accurate logs of hours of service, mileage, and fuel usage in compliance with federal requirements.
• Communicate regularly with dispatch to receive updates, report delays, and coordinate load changes.
• Assist with loading and unloading when required, using proper equipment and safety practices.
• Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols to maintain a clean driving record.
• Keep the vehicle clean and report maintenance needs to the shop team.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum age of 22 years.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• At least one year of recent experience driving a tractor‑trailer.
• Clean driving record with no major violations or suspensions.
• Ability to pass a Department of Transportation physical exam and drug screen.
• Strong commitment to safety and reliability.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Willingness to work a consistent local schedule with occasional overtime as needed.
