Research Medical Center, located in Overland, Johnson County, is seeking an experienced RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our Medical/Surgical nursing team. This full-time position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible experienced RNs and the opportunity to provide excellent patient care coordination in an acute care setting.
About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in our Med/Surg unit, you will coordinate comprehensive care for your patient assignment while delivering direct nursing care. You'll partner with physicians, specialists, and clinical staff to ensure patients receive high-quality medical and surgical nursing care and seamless transitions through their hospital experience.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care and coordinate treatment for assigned medical and surgical patients
- Assess patient conditions, develop individualized care plans, and monitor clinical progress
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, therapists, and support staff on coordinated care delivery
- Coordinate discharge planning and facilitate smooth transitions to post-acute care settings
- Maintain thorough, compliant nursing documentation and uphold quality standards
- Contribute to a culture of patient safety and continuous quality improvement on the unit
- Mentor and support fellow nursing team members
What We're Looking For
- Current RN licensure in your state
- Demonstrated experience in medical/surgical nursing or acute care environments
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and collaborative abilities
- Commitment to quality, patient-centered care
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications preferred
