About the Role

This Registered Nurse Float Pool Critical Care position offers clinical flexibility and variety as you move across our critical care units based on patient census and care needs. You'll deliver skilled nursing care to acutely ill patients while partnering with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize quality and safety.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care across critical care environments, adapting quickly to different unit cultures and patient populations
• Operate advanced clinical technologies, including proprietary sepsis detection systems that identify high-risk patients sooner than conventional methods
• Contribute to our reputation for rapid stroke intervention—our response times rank significantly faster than national averages
• Support our Enhanced Surgical Recovery program, which leverages evidence-based protocols to optimize pain management and lower post-operative readmission rates
• Maintain comprehensive, accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory standards and institutional policies
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives that advance clinical outcomes across the organization

What We're Looking For

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with demonstrated professional development considered
• One or more years of recent clinical nursing experience, preferably in critical care or acute care settings
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities in complex, high-acuity patient scenarios
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Comfort with rotating schedules and flexibility to function effectively across multiple critical care units
