Registered Nurse RN Cardiac Care

Research Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse RN Cardiac Care to join their team in Olathe, Johnson County on a part‑time basis.

About the Role

In this position you will provide specialized cardiac care to patients experiencing heart‑related conditions, working alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, evidence‑based treatment.

What You'll Do

• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret telemetry data.
• Administer prescribed medications, including anticoagulants and anti‑arrhythmics, while observing for adverse effects.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, noting vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, and ancillary staff to develop and adjust care plans.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions per protocol.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education activities.

What We're Looking For

• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Kansas.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Previous experience in cardiac telemetry, step‑down, or intensive care unit settings is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to recognize subtle changes in cardiac status.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care.
• Availability to work part‑time shifts as needed.
