About the Role

This director-level position sits within PwC's Corporate Tax services and focuses specifically on the asset and wealth management sector. You will deliver strategic tax solutions to clients managing complex portfolios, alternative investments, and wealth structures. Your work spans tax planning, compliance, and advisory services—helping clients navigate federal, state, and local tax requirements while achieving their financial and organizational objectives.

What You'll Do

• Lead tax planning and strategy engagements for high-value clients in asset and wealth management
• Advise on federal, state, and local tax implications of investment structures, portfolio decisions, and wealth preservation strategies
• Direct tax compliance projects including return preparation, filing coordination, and regulatory support
• Counsel clients on entity structuring, tax-efficient investment alternatives, and estate planning considerations
• Develop and present customized tax-optimization solutions aligned with client circumstances and objectives
• Build and strengthen client relationships while identifying new business opportunities
• Manage and mentor tax professionals on engagement teams
• Travel up to 20% for client meetings and business engagements

What We're Looking For

• CPA or equivalent professional tax credential
• 8+ years of tax advisory or accounting experience, with substantial expertise in wealth management, asset management, or related tax specialties
• Demonstrated success leading client engagements and delivering sophisticated tax solutions
• Deep technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax law
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop business and cultivate client relationships at the director level
