Join The Baez Legal Group as a Personal Injury Paralegal in our New York office. We're seeking a detail-oriented professional with at least one year of direct paralegal experience in personal injury law to support our lead attorney and contribute to client success from intake through resolution.
About the Role
As a Personal Injury Paralegal at The Baez Legal Group, you'll work in-office alongside our lead attorney, managing cases with precision and professionalism. This is a full-time position that demands both organizational excellence and the ability to take initiative on matters critical to client outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Manage personal injury case files from initial client intake through settlement or trial, maintaining organized and accessible records
- Prepare legal documents, discovery requests, interrogatories, and court filings with accuracy and compliance
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, insurance carriers, and medical providers to advance cases efficiently
- Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, and procedural requirements relevant to personal injury claims
- Assist with trial preparation, including witness coordination, document organization, and evidence management
- Review medical records, police reports, and other case materials to support case strategy
- Coordinate with court systems and third parties to meet deadlines and procedural requirements
What We're Looking For
- Minimum one year of hands-on paralegal experience specifically handling personal injury cases (required)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to juggle multiple active cases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated professional who works effectively under the direction of an attorney
- Proficiency in legal document preparation and familiarity with case management systems
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
