TalentBurst, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our progressive care unit (PCU) team at Merit Health Natchez in Natchez, Adams County, MS for a 13-week travel nursing assignment beginning as soon as possible.
About the Role
This is a full-time night shift position providing direct patient care in a dynamic acute care setting. You'll work evenings from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, delivering quality healthcare in the progressive care unit. This temporary travel nursing assignment offers the flexibility and professional growth that travel nurses seek while maintaining continuity of care for your patient population.
What You'll Do
- Deliver bedside nursing care to patients in the progressive care unit under a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and respond to acute changes
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and implement ordered treatments
- Develop and execute individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the clinical team
- Document patient assessments and interventions in the electronic health record system
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare staff
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout your shift
What We're Looking For
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Mississippi
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, or ability to obtain it within the first three weeks of your assignment
- Permanent residence located within 50 miles of the facility
- Professional appearance and willingness to wear royal blue scrubs
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care
