About the Role
As a Maintenance 2nd technician, you will join a team responsible for keeping equipment and building systems running smoothly during evening hours. Your work helps prevent downtime and ensures a safe environment for all site personnel.
What You'll Do
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machinery, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults promptly.
- Perform minor building repairs, including door hardware, lighting, and fixture replacements.
- Respond to emergency service requests and follow established safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and service times.
- Collaborate with production staff and supervisors to prioritize maintenance tasks.
- Assist with inventory management of tools and spare parts.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance or a related trade is a plus.
- Proven experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance in an industrial or commercial setting.
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read schematics, manuals, and work orders.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a detail‑oriented mindset.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work the second shift (evening hours) and occasional overtime as needed.
