Locum Tenens Physician Recruiter

Aya Healthcare invites a full-time Locum Tenens Physician Recruiter to join our Omaha, Douglas County office. You'll engage directly with physicians to present locum tenens placement opportunities and expand our network of healthcare professionals seeking flexible, assignment-based work.

About the Role

This is a hands-on recruitment position focused on physician acquisition for temporary staffing placements. You'll manage the full lifecycle of recruitment—from identifying qualified candidates through successful placement and onboarding. Your work connects physicians seeking schedule flexibility with healthcare organizations needing immediate staffing support.

What You'll Do

• Reach out to and engage physicians to present locum tenens career opportunities
• Assess candidate qualifications, licensure, and career objectives for appropriate matching
• Build lasting professional relationships with physicians throughout the recruitment process
• Educate physicians on the benefits and logistics of locum tenens work with Aya Healthcare
• Support candidates through credentialing, verification, and assignment placement
• Track recruitment activity and manage candidate pipelines to meet organizational growth goals
• Communicate proactively with internal teams and healthcare facilities to facilitate successful placements
• Serve as a key point of contact, delivering responsive and attentive support to all candidates

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience recruiting healthcare professionals, physicians, or related clinical roles
• Background in medical sales, healthcare staffing, or business development
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with professional polish
• Natural ability to build rapport and maintain strong working relationships
• Driven mindset with demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed recruitment targets
• Familiarity with healthcare industry terminology, physician credentials, and locum tenens practice models
• Comfort with recruiting platforms, CRM software, and standard office applications
• Self-directed work style with ability to manage multiple candidate pipelines simultaneously
