National Heritage Academies is seeking an Academic Specialist (K-6th) to strengthen instructional excellence at Aspire Academy in Hessville, Lake County, Indiana. This full-time position enables you to work directly with K-6th students and teachers to elevate academic outcomes and foster meaningful learning experiences.
About the Role
Aspire Academy, which opened in 2008, educates 650 K-8 students with a focus on academic quality and student growth. As an Academic Specialist, you'll collaborate across grade levels to support teachers, assess student learning, and implement evidence-based instructional approaches that close achievement gaps and strengthen classroom practice.
What You'll Do
- Review student assessment and performance data to identify learning needs and opportunities for growth
- Work closely with K-6th teachers to design and deliver targeted academic interventions
- Track student progress throughout the year using data-informed practices
- Coach teachers on effective instructional strategies and curriculum implementation
- Support professional development activities focused on improving teaching practice
