About the Role

As a Blood Bank Technologist 2, you'll perform both routine and complex laboratory testing procedures essential to transfusion medicine and patient safety. This per diem position emphasizes autonomous problem-solving, with the ability to work under minimal supervision while maintaining strict adherence to laboratory standards and protocols.

What You'll Do

• Execute routine and complex blood bank testing procedures with precision and accuracy
• Interpret test results and communicate findings to support clinical decision-making
• Work independently with minimal direct supervision, exercising sound technical and professional judgment
• Manage workload priorities effectively, especially for requests requiring rapid turnaround times
• Mentor and guide new employees and students through laboratory procedures and best practices
• Maintain strict compliance with hospital, laboratory, and regulatory safety policies and procedures
• Document all testing activities accurately and completely in laboratory information systems
