National Staffing Solutions is seeking a full-time, travel-based Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) at a high-acuity acute care hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. This 13-week contract assignment offers competitive weekly compensation of $1,671 to $1,929 and begins July 13, 2026, with a standard five-day, 40-hour schedule on day shift.

About the Role

You'll join our client hospital's surgical services team as a trusted member of the operating room staff. What You'll Do

• Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies before each procedure, ensuring complete sterile field compliance
• Assist surgeons and surgical nurses throughout operative procedures with precision instrument handling
• Monitor patient safety protocols and maintain awareness of all aseptic technique requirements
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments according to facility standards to ensure surgical safety
• Manage specimen handling and transport following established clinical guidelines
• Maintain organized, efficient operating room environments between cases
• Respond quickly to surgeon requests and adapt to evolving surgical needs in real time

What We're Looking For

• Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential with active certification
• Minimum two years of hands-on surgical technologist experience in acute care or hospital settings
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, anatomy, and operative procedures
• Ability to maintain composure and focus in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively with surgeons and clinical staff
• Flexibility to adapt to different facility systems and surgical protocols
• Valid state license or national certification (BLS-certified preferred)
