Regional Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

Trane Technologies is hiring a Regional Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team in Maitland, Orange County. As a leader in climate innovation and sustainable building solutions, we're looking for a dedicated professional to drive health, safety, and environmental excellence across our operations.

About the Role

In this position, you'll oversee environmental health and safety programs across multiple facilities and work sites within your region. You'll develop and implement EHS policies, conduct inspections, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Your work directly supports our commitment to creating sustainable, efficient climate solutions while protecting our workforce and the communities we serve.

What You'll Do

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS programs and safety protocols
• Conduct facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and improvement opportunities
• Investigate workplace incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions
• Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, state environmental laws, and industry standards
• Train managers and employees on safety procedures, emergency response, and environmental best practices
• Maintain EHS documentation, incident records, and compliance reports
• Collaborate with facility managers, operations teams, and leadership on safety initiatives
• Monitor and track key safety metrics, trends, and performance indicators

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of professional EHS experience, ideally in a regional or multi-facility role
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and environmental compliance standards
• Experience conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across organizational levels
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and documentation
• Preferred: OHSP, CSSP, CESCO, or similar professional EHS certification
