In this strategic role, you'll lead our government relations efforts on spectrum policy and regulatory matters while building partnerships with federal agencies, Congress, and industry stakeholders.
About the Role
As Government Affairs Director, you'll serve as the primary advocate for Motorola Solutions on spectrum policy and federal regulatory affairs. You'll navigate complex policy environments, represent the company's interests before Congress and executive agencies, and shape regulatory outcomes that affect our industry and business.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute federal government affairs strategy on spectrum policy, licensing, and regulatory compliance matters
- Lead advocacy campaigns with the FCC, Congress, and federal agencies on wireless communications and spectrum policy
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting spectrum access, allocation, and management
- Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with Congressional offices, federal officials, and industry coalitions
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to align company positions on spectrum and regulatory policy
- Represent Motorola Solutions at industry forums, regulatory proceedings, and policy conferences
- Develop policy analysis, Congressional testimony, and stakeholder communications on regulatory matters
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in government affairs, regulatory policy, or telecommunications spectrum regulation
- Expert-level knowledge of FCC regulations, spectrum licensing frameworks, and wireless communications law
- Demonstrated success building relationships with Congressional staff and federal agency leadership
- Strong background in telecommunications, public safety communications, or wireless industry policy
- Exceptional written and oral communication abilities
- Strategic influence and ability to drive policy outcomes
- Capability to manage competing priorities in complex regulatory environments
