About the Role
As a Traveling Field Programmer for HVAC Controls and Commissioning at Honeywell, you'll be the trusted technical resource our customers depend on to get the most from their building control systems. You'll travel to customer sites throughout the Oklahoma City area to diagnose system needs, configure control solutions, and ensure every installation meets our quality standards. Your work directly impacts building comfort, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Travel to customer locations to provide on-site programming, configuration, and commissioning of HVAC control systems
- Troubleshoot complex HVAC control issues and implement technical solutions that restore system performance
- Perform system installations, device calibrations, and startup procedures for new equipment deployments
- Conduct preventive maintenance visits and system performance testing to ensure optimal operation
- Document all work performed and provide detailed technical reports to customers and internal project teams
- Collaborate with field technicians and project managers to coordinate seamless project delivery
- Train customers on system operation, maintenance, and best practices for energy management
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience with HVAC control systems programming and commissioning procedures
- Strong working knowledge of commercial and residential HVAC equipment and control system logic
- Competency with standard diagnostic tools and control software platforms
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently at customer sites while maintaining excellent communication with customers and your team
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the Oklahoma City area and surrounding regions
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or formal training in HVAC controls is strongly preferred
