About the Role

As a Carpenter with Hensel Phelps, you'll work on airport facility construction and infrastructure projects that demand precision, safety, and skilled craftsmanship. You'll be part of a team building essential structures that serve the traveling public and support airport operations.

What You'll Do

• Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to guide project work
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, metal, and composite materials to specification
• Build, assemble, and install structural elements including framing, walls, and roofing systems
• Install doors, windows, trim, flooring, and finish components
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Maintain clean and organized work areas while adhering to safety protocols
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and supervisors to meet project timelines

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a carpenter in commercial or construction environments
• Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and building codes
• Ability to read and follow blueprints accurately
• Proficiency with standard carpentry hand tools and power tools
• Physical capability to perform demanding manual labor
• Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate clearly
• Willingness to obtain security badging for airport site access

Compensation and Requirements

Hourly rate: $26.00–$28.00. Employment offers are contingent on successful completion of verification of work authorization, substance abuse screening, physical examination, and background checks for badging and security clearances as applicable.
