About the Role

As an Employment Coach, you'll be the primary advocate and mentor for individuals in your caseload, guiding them through workforce preparation, job placement, and ongoing employment success. You'll combine one-on-one coaching with group learning opportunities, helping each person develop the confidence and competencies they need to thrive in work and community settings.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct individualized assessments of strengths, interests, and employment goals
  • Design and deliver personalized coaching sessions focused on job readiness and social-workplace skills
  • Facilitate hands-on learning experiences and community engagement activities
  • Support clients in identifying job opportunities aligned with their capabilities and aspirations
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and rights protections for clients participating in community and work activities
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress tracking for each individual you serve
  • Collaborate with employers, family members, and service partners to ensure holistic support

What We're Looking For

  • Genuine commitment to supporting people with developmental and intellectual disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust quickly
  • Experience in workforce development, career coaching, or disability services (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and manage caseloads with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of community resources, job training programs, and local employment opportunities
  • Flexibility to adapt your approach to meet diverse learning styles and support needs
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community-based work
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
