What This Role Involves

As a Vice President of Risk Architecture, you drive the design and evolution of risk management frameworks that protect JPMorganChase's financial strength and operational resilience. You anticipate emerging risks across the enterprise, translate business challenges into risk mitigation strategies, and lead initiatives that embed disciplined risk governance into the firm's operations. Your work directly influences how the organization manages everything from credit and market risk to operational and compliance risk, ensuring sustainable growth through responsible risk management.

Core Duties

• Develop and maintain comprehensive risk architecture strategies aligned with JPMorganChase's business objectives and regulatory requirements
• Identify, assess, and prioritize emerging and existing risks across business lines and organizational functions
• Design and implement risk control frameworks, methodologies, and governance structures
• Partner with business leaders and risk teams to translate risk insights into actionable strategies and mitigation plans
• Monitor risk metrics, conduct stress testing, and recommend adjustments to risk appetite and operational limits
• Support regulatory compliance and audit requirements through clear documentation and comprehensive risk reporting
• Lead cross-functional workstreams and mentor team members on risk management best practices

Skills & Qualifications

• Deep expertise in risk management, risk architecture, or enterprise risk frameworks
• Proven track record in a senior risk management role, ideally within financial services
• Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex risk data into clear, actionable insights
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities across all organizational levels
• Advanced proficiency in risk management tools, financial modeling, or quantitative analysis
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements (SOX, Basel, Dodd-Frank, or similar)
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Risk Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred
• Industry certifications (CRM, FRM, or similar) a plus
