Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach (PT)

Sullivan County Community College seeks a dedicated Women's Basketball Assistant Coach to join our athletic program in South Fallsburg. This is an exciting opportunity to work with student-athletes in a supportive community college environment while contributing to our commitment to excellence both on and off the court.

About the Role

As Women's Basketball Assistant Coach at Sullivan County Community College, you will play a vital role in developing our student-athletes' skills, character, and competitive performance. Working alongside the Head Coach, you'll help implement our program's training philosophy and ensure our team excels in the competitive NJCAA environment.

What You'll Do

• Conduct individual and team practice sessions, focusing on skill development, basketball fundamentals, and strategic game preparation
• Provide direct instruction in offensive and defensive systems, player positioning, and game tactics
• Evaluate player performance during practices and games to identify development opportunities
• Assist with recruiting efforts to build a competitive roster of talented student-athletes
• Mentor student-athletes on basketball development, academic progress, and personal growth
• Support team travel, game day operations, and athletic event logistics
• Collaborate with coaching staff to maintain a positive, inclusive team culture
• Contribute to film study sessions and opponent analysis

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in basketball coaching or playing at the collegiate level
• Strong knowledge of women's basketball fundamentals, rules, and strategic game planning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse student-athletes
• Commitment to supporting student success both academically and athletically
• Ability to work collaboratively within a coaching team and athletic department
• Passion for developing young talent and building a winning program culture
• Physical ability to demonstrate proper techniques and actively participate in practice
