About the Role

As a Maryland State Inspector, you'll perform comprehensive safety and compliance examinations on motor vehicles operating throughout the state. The role offers competitive annual compensation between $70,000 and $120,000 based on your experience, structured as an hourly rate, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus to help you get started.

What You'll Do

• Inspect motor vehicles for safety systems, mechanical condition, and regulatory compliance
• Verify vehicle documentation, registration, and ownership details
• Test braking systems, lighting, emissions controls, and other safety components
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records
• Communicate inspection outcomes to vehicle owners in a professional manner
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accuracy
• Stay current with Maryland DMV regulations and inspection standards

What We're Looking For
