Key Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus safely and on schedule along assigned routes
• Transport students to and from school as well as district-related events and activities
• Follow all traffic laws and district transportation policies at all times
• Maintain a calm, orderly, and respectful environment for student passengers
• Communicate clearly and effectively with students, families, and school staff
• Complete required pre-employment and ongoing safety checks

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent (GED) required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to successfully complete a background check and pre-employment screening
• Valid Iowa Driver's License required
• Hold or be willing to earn CDL, Air Brake, School Bus, and Passenger endorsements
• Strong, effective communication skills
