Join Shasqi as a Principal Scientist, Toxicology & Pharmacology in a full-time, US-based position. We're seeking an experienced scientist to lead our research efforts, where cutting-edge science meets the mission of delivering powerful treatments precisely to tumors while protecting healthy tissue.
About the Role
Shasqi is advancing precision medicine by leveraging breakthrough science to create therapies that work where they're needed most. As Principal Scientist, you'll take a leadership role in evaluating the safety and efficacy profiles of our therapeutic candidates, guiding their development from preclinical stages through clinical advancement. Your expertise will be central to our ability to bring selective, potent treatments to patients.
What You'll Do
- Lead preclinical and clinical toxicology and pharmacology studies to characterize candidate drugs and their mechanisms
- Develop regulatory strategies and ensure compliance with FDA and international guidelines for investigational therapeutics
- Collaborate cross-functionally with chemistry, biology, and clinical teams to optimize compound safety and efficacy
- Direct research initiatives, mentor junior scientists, and foster a culture of scientific rigor and innovation
- Prepare and present findings to internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies
- Contribute to peer-reviewed publications and scientific presentations advancing the field
What We're Looking For
- PhD in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Chemistry, or a closely related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in drug development, particularly in toxicology and pharmacology assessments
- Demonstrated expertise in regulatory pathways and IND/NDA strategy
- Strong track record of scientific leadership and mentoring
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Passion for precision medicine and impact-driven science
