About the Role

The CSI Interventionist Co-Teacher at IDEA Valley View Academy works directly with small groups of students identified as having significant academic gaps in Reading and/or Mathematics—typically two or more years behind grade level. Your mission is to close these gaps through evidence-based interventions, helping students achieve one full year of growth in a single school year. This role is essential to IDEA Public Schools' commitment to ensuring all students are prepared to succeed in advanced academics, including our AP for All initiative.

What You'll Do

• Deliver small-group reading and math interventions using data-driven instructional strategies
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction based on individual learning needs
• Monitor and track student growth toward closing identified academic gaps
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and academic teams to ensure continuity of support
• Create a positive, engaging learning environment that builds student confidence and motivation
• Communicate regularly with teachers, families, and administrators about student progress

What We're Looking For

• Teaching certification or eligibility
• Strong background in Reading and/or Mathematics instruction
• Experience with literacy or numeracy intervention programs
• Proven ability to work with students performing significantly below grade level
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for closing achievement gaps and supporting student success
• Ability to use data to inform instructional decisions
