Fiscal Technician 2-D&A Patient Accounts

Join Sphs Group as a Fiscal Technician 2 in Patient Accounts (D&A) and take a key role in our billing and revenue operations at our Greensburg location in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. This full-time position is central to maintaining the financial health of our Fee-For-Service patient accounts processing function.

About the Role

In this role, you'll manage the complete lifecycle of patient billing and accounts receivable within our healthcare operations. You'll process transactions accurately and efficiently, working with insurance claims, patient payments, and account reconciliations. This is a skilled position requiring attention to detail, organizational ability, and strong knowledge of healthcare billing practices and regulations.

What You'll Do

• Process and generate service authorization invoices and billing documentation
• Manage patient account transactions including payments, adjustments, and refunds
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility information
• Resolve account discrepancies and billing inquiries from patients and providers
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in billing systems
• Follow HIPAA and compliance protocols for patient financial information
• Support the accounts receivable team with collection activities
• Generate reports and analysis on billing trends and account status

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent, with 2+ years of healthcare billing or patient accounts experience
• Proficiency with billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Strong mathematical and data entry skills with accuracy in detail-oriented work
• Knowledge of insurance billing, CPT codes, and healthcare payment processes
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities
• Commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
