About the Role

As a Food Service Worker/Cashier with Chartwells K12, you'll help keep the Beaverton Schools cafeteria running smoothly, preparing and serving meals while handling point-of-sale transactions with care and accuracy. The position is based on-site at 3090 Crockett Street, Beaverton, MI 48612, in Gladwin County, and follows part-time and on-call schedules. Hours typically run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., though days may vary; additional scheduling details are shared during the interview.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve breakfast, lunch, and other meals to students and staff in a courteous, timely manner
• Operate the cashier station and process payments accurately
• Assist with food preparation, portioning, and plating as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary service and dining area
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health code standards at all times
• Support catering tasks and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food service, cashiering, and catering is preferred
• Strong customer service skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Reliability and flexibility to work variable, on-call days
• Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced school cafeteria setting
