Scale AI is seeking a Medical Fellow for the Human Frontier Collective (HFC) Fellowship, a fully remote engagement open to medical experts based in the United States who want to help shape the next generation of AI systems.
About the Role
As a Medical Fellow within the Human Frontier Collective, you will join a community of leading researchers and subject-matter specialists collaborating at the intersection of medicine and artificial intelligence. This is a fully remote, 1099 independent contractor position with an estimated duration of approximately six months and the possibility of extension. You will lend your clinical and scientific expertise to advance Scale AI's work, contributing domain knowledge that helps inform and refine cutting-edge models.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply specialized medical expertise to support AI research and development initiatives within the Human Frontier Collective.
- Collaborate with fellow researchers and domain experts across disciplines to bring rigorous clinical perspective to the work.
- Contribute high-quality, expert input that helps strengthen the accuracy and reliability of advanced AI systems.
- Engage with the program throughout the fellowship term, with the opportunity to extend the engagement based on mutual fit.
Qualifications
- A background in medicine with the depth of expertise expected of a Medical Fellow.
- Authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
- Comfort working independently as a 1099 contractor in a fully remote setting.
