About the Role
As a Unilever Food Solutions (UFS) Scientist within our Consumer Technical Insights (CTI) function, you will apply rigorous food science to develop, refine, and validate products that delight professional chefs and operators. Based on-site in Englewood Cliffs, this position sits at the intersection of research, sensory understanding, and real-world culinary application, helping translate consumer and chef insights into tangible product improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct hands-on food science research to support the UFS portfolio and the CTI agenda
- Design and run experiments, evaluations, and benchtop trials to test product concepts and reformulations
- Partner with cross-functional teams to convert technical insights into actionable product and process recommendations
- Document methods, results, and learnings clearly to inform decision-making
- Support continuous improvement of food quality, performance, and consistency across applications
Qualifications
- A background in food science, food technology, or a closely related scientific discipline
- Practical experience with laboratory or product development methods relevant to food
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-interpretation abilities
- Effective collaboration and communication skills for working across technical and commercial teams
- Willingness to work on-site at our Englewood Cliffs location (this is not a remote role)
