About This Position
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Veteran Engagement Coordinator to join our team at Invictus Australia in the Adelaide area. This is a part-time, 3 days a week role with the opportunity for flexible working hours.
- Provide opportunities and activities for the local defence community to connect and engage through sport and recreation
- Evaluate and implement programs that support the well-being of veterans
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including community organizations and government bodies, to enhance engagement initiatives
- Maintain accurate records and reports on program activities and outcomes
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate events and programs that foster social connections among veterans
- Develop and maintain relationships with local sports clubs, community centers, and other relevant organizations
- Evaluate the effectiveness of engagement initiatives and make recommendations for improvement
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations related to veteran support programs
What We're Looking For
- A strong commitment to supporting veterans and their families
- Experience in community engagement or similar roles, particularly within the veteran sector
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- A valid driver’s license as some travel may be required for event coordination
