Blockchain & Climate Institute/ BCI America Inc. is seeking a dedicated Senior Learning and Development Officer (Division-Embedded) to join its capacity-building mission. Please note: this is an unpaid, full-time volunteer position based in the US (home-based).
About the Role
As a Senior Learning and Development Officer at the Blockchain & Climate Institute (BCI), you will help reimagine learning and development as a genuine service rather than a back-office function. Embedded directly within a division, you will partner closely with teams to nurture skills, strengthen knowledge-sharing, and support BCI's evolving approach to how it grows its people. This volunteer role reports to the Director of Capacity Building.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, coordinate, and deliver learning and development initiatives tailored to your assigned division's needs.
- Act as an embedded L&D partner, building trusted relationships with team members and leaders.
- Support the wider transformation of BCI's learning culture toward a more service-oriented model.
- Identify capability gaps and recommend practical, people-focused development solutions.
- Collaborate with the Director of Capacity Building to align L&D activity with organisational goals.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in learning and development, training, or capacity building.
- A genuine passion for helping people and teams learn and grow.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills suited to an embedded, collaborative role.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a home-based, remote setting.
- Commitment to BCI's mission at the intersection of blockchain technology and climate action.
