Unity Engineer

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential EdTech organization focused on immersive learning solutions. We are seeking a Unity Engineer to join their development team and build interactive experiences for mobile VR platforms. This is a remote opportunity based in the United States.

As the Unity Engineer, you will work closely with designers and educators to create scalable, high-performance VR learning tools. You'll be responsible for building modular systems, optimizing application performance, and maintaining production-quality code that powers spatial computing experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain modular, reusable code for immersive VR experiences using Unity
• Collaborate with designers to prototype and implement novel interactive learning tools
• Perform regular iteration and maintenance to ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness
• Establish development pipelines and strategies for platform integration
• Create and improve tools to optimize the development workflow
• Identify and resolve application bottlenecks, performance issues, and bugs
• Maintain high standards for code quality, organization, and automation

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (Master's degree a plus)
• Professional proficiency in developing object-oriented software with deep C# scripting experience
• Strong understanding of VR development workflows using Unity
• Experience profiling and optimizing C# codebases
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code
• Experience with source control systems (Git preferred)
• Comfort with iterative design processes and cross-functional collaboration
• Self-motivated with strong individual and team collaboration skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Passion for educational technology and STEM learning
