About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential EdTech organization focused on immersive learning solutions. We are seeking a Unity Engineer to join their development team and build interactive experiences for mobile VR platforms. This is a remote opportunity based in the United States.
As the Unity Engineer, you will work closely with designers and educators to create scalable, high-performance VR learning tools. You'll be responsible for building modular systems, optimizing application performance, and maintaining production-quality code that powers spatial computing experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain modular, reusable code for immersive VR experiences using Unity
- Collaborate with designers to prototype and implement novel interactive learning tools
- Perform regular iteration and maintenance to ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness
- Establish development pipelines and strategies for platform integration
- Create and improve tools to optimize the development workflow
- Identify and resolve application bottlenecks, performance issues, and bugs
- Maintain high standards for code quality, organization, and automation
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (Master's degree a plus)
- Professional proficiency in developing object-oriented software with deep C# scripting experience
- Strong understanding of VR development workflows using Unity
- Experience profiling and optimizing C# codebases
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code
- Experience with source control systems (Git preferred)
- Comfort with iterative design processes and cross-functional collaboration
- Self-motivated with strong individual and team collaboration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Passion for educational technology and STEM learning
