Truck Driver Company – OTR – Dry Van

Role Overview

As an OTR Truck Driver with U.S. Xpress, you'll operate a dry van, hauling no-touch freight across US highways with a schedule designed around driver priorities. You'll log approximately 2,000 miles per week on average, maintaining consistent routes on a predictable 28-days-out, 5-days-home rotation that lets you plan your personal life with confidence. This is a full-time position for drivers ready to build a sustainable career in long-haul trucking.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial dry van vehicle across interstate routes, adhering to all federal and state DOT regulations
• Execute no-touch freight loadings and deliveries, ensuring cargo integrity and on-time performance
• Maintain detailed logs, pre-trip inspections, and vehicle maintenance records throughout each run cycle
• Coordinate with dispatch and fleet management to meet scheduled delivery windows and route requirements
• Uphold safety standards and professional conduct that align with company policy and industry best practices

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record and 1-5 months of verifiable OTR experience
• Ability to commit to 28-day run schedules with consistent weekly mileage capacity
• Strong communication skills and reliability—you show up on time, every time
• Professional attitude and willingness to follow company safety protocols without exception
• Current medical certification (DOT physical) or willingness to obtain it before hire

We compensate our drivers competitively, starting at 52-56 cents per mile based on your experience level. Top-performing OTR drivers earn around $1,500 weekly; new hires receive a $2,000 sign-on bonus to get started.
