U.S. Xpress - OTR is hiring experienced CDL-A truck drivers for dedicated over-the-road positions in Towanda, Pennsylvania. This full-time opportunity welcomes drivers with 1-5 months of commercial experience who are ready to log miles and earn solid income with predictable home time.
About the Role
You'll operate modern dry van equipment across multi-state routes, running a consistent schedule that balances earnings with time at home. This is straightforward, reliable over-the-road work for drivers who value both performance-based pay and predictability.
What You'll Do
- Haul dry freight loads on established routes averaging 2,000 miles per week
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Comply with federal hours-of-service regulations and safety protocols
- Communicate load status and ETA information with dispatch and customers
- Manage logbooks and freight documentation accurately
What We're Looking For
- Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record
- 1-5 months of truck driving experience
- Ability to meet federal safety and hours-of-service standards
- Strong vehicle maintenance and safety awareness
- Professional communication and reliable work habits
Compensation & Benefits
Earn 57–64 cents per mile based on your experience and performance. Drivers receive a guaranteed minimum weekly pay of $1,500, with top OTR drivers earning $1,650 per week or more. All new drivers get a $4,000 sign-on bonus.
We also offer team driving: earn $0.72–$0.80 per mile split with average weekly miles near 5,000, plus a $5,000 team sign-on bonus. You'll run a 12 days out, 2 days home schedule designed to get you home regularly.
