About the Role

This travel RRT position is a full-time, 13-week contract based on-site in Fredericksburg, Gasconade County. You'll work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), logging 36 hours per week. The assignment begins as soon as possible, making it ideal for allied health professionals who are ready to move quickly.

What You'll Do

  • Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary disorders across acute care settings
  • Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation, including weaning protocols
  • Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gas analysis, and bedside spirometry
  • Administer aerosol and oxygen therapies in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
  • Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid-response and code teams
  • Collaborate with nursing, physician, and multidisciplinary care teams to develop individualized patient treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all assessments and interventions in the EMR
  • Educate patients and families on disease management, inhaler technique, and home respiratory care

What We're Looking For

  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Active state licensure or eligibility to practice in Missouri
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience in an acute care environment
  • Proficiency with mechanical ventilators, high-flow oxygen systems, and advanced airway management
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Experience with neonatal, pediatric, or ICU populations is a plus
  • Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to work independently on night shifts
  • Willingness to adapt quickly to a new facility's workflows, equipment, and documentation systems
