About the Role
You'll join a cardiology department as a travel electrophysiology technologist, delivering essential technical support during diagnostic and ablation procedures. Working day shifts on a 10-hour schedule across a 40-hour work week, you'll be instrumental in patient safety and procedural success in one of the Northeast's major medical centers.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and manage electrophysiology laboratory equipment and patient monitoring systems
- Assist physicians during diagnostic studies, ablation procedures, and device implantations
- Monitor vital signs and electrocardiographic data throughout interventional sessions
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection control protocols
- Document procedure details and maintain accurate patient records
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance as needed
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in an electrophysiology laboratory
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Current ACLS certification
- RCES certification (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)
- Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with cardiologists and nursing staff
